Irgendwo in der unterirdischen „Crystal Lake Research Facility“, irgendwann zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts: Trotz der Bedenken Rowans, einer jungen Projektleiterin, soll das Forschungsobjekt „Jason Voorhees“ von einem kleinen Militärtrupp in ein anderes Labor verlegt werden. Jason befreit sich aus seinen Ketten, macht mit den erfahrenen Soldaten kurzen Prozess und wird anschließend von Rowan in eine Cryo-Kammer gelockt. Dort gelingt es ihr zwar, das Monster einzufrieren, sie selbst entkommt dem lähmenden Eis allerdings genauso wenig. Im Jahr 2455 landet ein Forschungsschiff auf der inzwischen zerstörten Erde, sichert die beiden Funde und macht sich wieder auf den Weg nach „Erde 2“, wo die Menschheit eine neue Heimat fand. Rowan kann reanimiert werden, was bei Jason selbstredend automatisch geschieht. Einmal wach, begibt sich der Killer auf eine blutige Jagd nach den an Bord befindlichen Teenagern.

März 2026The idea of Mecha Jason is perversely funny, and the fight scene he has towards the end is so laughably bad that it becomes good, but that’s less than 20 minutes of entertainment value and not worth watching the rest of the movie. The kills are boring and it fundamentally fails as a horror movie, it’s more parody than anything else.
- ርልዪረ2. Juni 2025Jason X is my favourite movie. even the last 20 minutes by itself is gold. He is in space. There are explosions and the CGI isn't even the worst! Jason X is by far the best Jason movie ever produced. its dumb and light-hearted goofiness. Very 10th doctor who reminiscent (Meaning the comedy style as well as the whole in space thing; everything is wacky and weird future stuff you don't quite understand.) I know some people don't like that in a Jason movie. They only want Friday the 13th series as a horror slasher. But what's wrong with a little goofiness? Scream is incredibly meta and funny, yet the new one succeeded in making me jump. Also, comedy is an easy way for movie producers to get you to like the characters and care about them. 9.99/10. the whole hour and ten before it gets good is mediocre.
- Tyler S29. Oktober 2025Jason in space! I mean it's the tenth entry why not go bat shit crazy. When I was a teen (this came out when I was 15) I looked down on Jason X, he's in space, that's stupid. Well yeah it's stupid but also a fun time. Starting this with a cameo from one of my fav humans David Cronenberg always makes me smile. Can't call this one boring, we get the frozen smashed head kill, Jason Vs. Cyborg babe fight, the sleeping bag kills and Uber Jason. Sure the layers of cheese and cheap looking cinematography and effects hold it back a bit but still not worth skipping during the series binge (that honor is awarded to Goes To Hell). 👍 6/10

- Jacob O’Neal16. Juni 2025Kane Hodder’s swan song is a cliche in the horror realm - send the villain to space. Leprechaun, Hellraiser and then Jason. The difference is that this is the one I will gladly admit to liking. It’s not good, but if David Cronenberg actually asked to be in it and killed by Jason you know you’re gonna have some fun. The movie is as follows - Jason has been captured by a nameless government organization that is intent on finding out what causes him to regenerate. One scientist insists that Jason be frozen as originally intended. They say no and David Cronenberg dies along with a bunch of soldiers. The crypto tube is punctured and Lexa Doig, the dissenting scientist, gets frozen with Jason. They wake up some 500 years in the future. Earth is a desolate wasteland. Some scouting mission of teens on a field trip find the frozen bodies and bring to their spacecraft. The scientist is revived, some people have sex and that wakes Jason up and all Hell breaks loose. The movie was a blast. It should not have worked. But the virtual reality room scene with Jason at Crystal Lake dealing with some fake victims so the living people could get away was hilarious with the sleeping bag callback. The Uber Jason was cool as well. There was more that worked in this film than didn’t. It makes me smile every time I watch it. Up next - we watch Hollywood ruin American geography for horror fans in the epic battle of Freddy Vs. Jason, a movie that introduced the world to Evangeline Lilly (Lost, Ant-Man) as “high school student in background at school”.
- Carlos Ibarra10. April 2025Such a stupid ass, cheesy movie. But at least it's self aware and trying to have some fun. Indeed, it has some of the coolest kills of the series, and some genuinely funny moments.
