- KillerRoo5. Juni 2026I saw this on VHS when it came out. Upon rewatching this movie 20+ years on, it is both way better and way darker than I remember and I'm still kinda here for it. It was silly and gross (so, yeah, I was the target audience), but it came with enough horror elements to make it a touch spooky and dark. I think the cast knew how ridiculous it was but leaned into it and the movie is better for it. The practical make-up work is uncannily good, CGI and AI wishes it could produce stuff that looks as good. There's nothing made like this anymore, that late-90s-early-00's time period held a beatiful just-bizzare-enough streak that can't/won't be replicated.

- Carter4. Februar 2026Idle Hands is a really fun horror comedy. The cast is really good in this film and all deliver hilarious performances. The film overall is very funny and made me laugh several times. The film also contains some good kills and gore, enough to also make a horror fan happy. The film also has a romance that is actually pretty hilarious. So overall a really fun movie that doesn’t take itself seriously.

Devon Sawa’s physicality is what I remembered most before this revisit, but the rest of it holds up really well still, also. It’s a great late 90’s cast of actors in the midst of having their moment. Alba, Green, Fox. Always love Fred Willard and Joey Slotnick appearances. Awesome pick. A worthy rewatch.
