Bursting with colourful characters and clever jokes for both kids and adults, it tells a surprisingly sweet story about family, acceptance, and letting go. Adam Sandler’s Dracula is charmingly overprotective, the animation is energetic and expressive, and the film never loses its playful spirit. With a big heart beneath the monsters and plenty of memorable moments, Hotel Transylvania is a feel-good movie that’s fun for the whole family.

This is a fun, energetic animated movie that takes the classic monster characters and gives them a fresh and comedic twist. It is packed with humor, great animation, and a surprising amount of heart, making it an enjoyable watch for both kids and adults. Adam Sandler as Count Dracula is one of the best parts of the movie. His voice performance brings a mix of comedy and warmth that makes Dracula feel unique. He is not the scary villain you would expect. Instead, he is an overprotective father who just wants to keep his daughter safe. His relationship with Mavis is the emotional core of the movie, and it adds a lot of heart to the story. Selena Gomez does a great job as Mavis, giving her a fun and rebellious personality that makes her easy to root for. Andy Samberg as Johnny brings a lot of energy and excitement to the movie. His character is a little over the top at times, but he plays well off of Dracula’s serious nature. The supporting cast, including Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, and CeeLo Green, all add to the fun. Each monster has their own personality, and their interactions bring some of the funniest moments in the film. The animation is fantastic. The exaggerated expressions, fast movements, and detailed backgrounds make every scene feel full of life. The character designs are creative, and the way the monsters move adds to their personalities. - Jamie Talbot26. April 2025This is a film that’s still good today. It’s yet another film with Adam Sandler and his buddies. However, the monsters they play fit their voices so well. Even though the animation isn’t on par with Pixar, the storytelling in this film is top-class. Definitely something I’d happily watch again.
