Doch dafür brauchen sie Hellboy. Denn seine Bestimmung war einst, selbst den Weltuntergang zu starten – bis sein Ziehvater Professor Broom ihn auf die gute Seite holte und als Spezial-Agent gegen die Monster dieser Welt einsetzte. Während Hellboy nun von Broom für einen Auftrag nach London geschickt wird, zieht Nimue eine Schneise der Verwüstung durch ganz England. Und plötzlich sehen sich Hellboy und seine Mitstreiter Anna und Ben nicht nur mit einer Armee der Finsternis konfrontiert, sondern auch mit ureigenen Dämonen. Die blutrote Schlacht kann beginnen!

- Richard25. Oktober 2025This reboot could’ve been so much more, but it dropped the ball, even if I kinda liked parts of it. David Harbour steps into the horns with solid effort, bringing a rougher, more sarcastic edge to Big Red. The film leans hard into the gore, the mythology and the R-rated chaos and while some of it lands, a lot of it feels like noise without rhythm. There’s potential everywhere: the Baba Yaga scene is creepy gold, Milla Jovovich vamps it up as the Blood Queen and the creature designs go full fever dream. But the pacing’s off, the tone’s uneven and the story tries to cram three arcs into one film without letting any of them breathe. Still, I didn’t hate it. There’s a scrappy charm buried under the mess, like a comic book you found in a bargain bin and read anyway because the cover looked cool. Harbour gives it his all and there are flashes of what could’ve been a great new chapter. Not a total loss, just a reboot that needed more focus and less frantic energy.
- Antonio4. Juni 2025Great Hellboy film. Harbour was awesome. Added a great sense of comedy whlie not being ridiculous. He was funny and just overall great playing the hellboy role. Rest of the cast did a good job also and overall it was filmed well. Effects were good, story was good and overall an enjoyable hellboy film. A lot of fun to watch and one I enjoy rewatching from time to time.
