Halloween Rezensionen & Wertungen
- jackmeat31. Oktober 2024My quick rating - 6,5/10. Rob Zombie has proven himself as an astute admirer of the horror genre and takes a legit classic down a slightly different path. More a film of two parts, this tells the whole story of Michael Myers with a bit more to the story part. Some find that as a drawback, I just see it as different storytelling. Instead of a complete mystery as to why Michael is who he is, part one of this movie explores his upbringing and road to becoming the ominous killer. In the second part, Zombie also gives reflection to his obsession with his sister and even makes sense to why it continues further down the road. I won't give spoilers, since I never do, but it is worth watching for sure. As Zombie does, the characters are vivid and well-portrayed. Malcolm McDowell is a superb choice as Loomis and Daeg Faerch is a great young Michael. The things fans of the original don't like is also what makes it good. Don't be closed-minded and you will enjoy.
- eddie4335128. Juli 2025Love rob zombies Halloween I’m one of the biggest Halloween franchise fan.
- The Gutter Monkey10. November 2024A great reimagining of the original movies that significantly fleshes out what was originally a very skinny story.
- dick6198. März 2026True evil a little bit of the old Ultra violence Clockwork Orange reference enjoy I've seen it 10 to 20 times it gets better every time
- Zoran Miljković14. November 2025The best movie in the entire franchise, but it's just a remake of Carpenter's 1978 film, so I must say that the Carpenters film is the best one, hence Zombie's H1 takes second place. BTW Zombies second Halloween takes the 3rd place!!!
- christopherhernandez8683. Januar 2026Very good compared too second I forgot what happened to his face in the aftermath watching 2nd (my fav.) first
- Pascal Bollier19. November 2025so....a whole lot of people really hate this rob zombie remake. i am not one of them. i enjoyed watching the genesis of this evil personified. the kid was creepy fun. then, teen lorie enters the picture and its all downhill from there. she is godawful. i had to mute parts of the movie because her voice felt like claws on a chalkboard to me. Subjective, yes, but there you go :-)
- LivewireAdmin22. Oktober 2025Rob Zombie’s Halloween feels like a film that mistakes volume for tension and grit for depth. The visuals have some bite — gritty, grimy, and occasionally striking in a way that fits Zombie’s world — but that’s about where the praise ends. Everything else, from the writing to the characters, feels overcooked and underthought. The film’s attempt to “explain” Michael Myers drains the mystery that made Carpenter’s original so haunting. Instead of a silent embodiment of evil, we get a loud, blunt backstory that turns him into more of a product than a presence. The dialogue is rough, the performances often veer into caricature, and any moments of potential tension get buried under noise and aggression. Scout Taylor-Compton, Kristina Klebe and Danielle Harris turn in decent performances as the core characters of the film but Malcolm McDowell' Loomis comes off as more ego driven than panicked pursuer. Don't get me started on Sheri Moon Zombie as Michael's mother. There’s a certain raw visual flair — the camera work and lighting occasionally capture a grimy, claustrophobic menace and Zombie does a decent job of capturing the vibe of a small town in autumn — but it’s not enough to overcome how hollow the rest feels. It’s a brutal, mean-spirited remake that forgets what made the original terrifying: simplicity and silence. letterboxd: FilmPhanPA
- Richard Gobin2. November 2024Almost brutal remake and Zombie's second best movie.
- Yhoozername20. Oktober 2025This was a rewatch after several years. It has it's moments, but really the screaming Hellbilly family and multiple, multiple, slurs is just too edgelord-y for me at this point.
