The jokes mostly work, the big goofy moments are great, and it’s just an easy movie to throw on and enjoy. It plays it pretty safe, but it’s got charm, good energy, and that cozy sequel feel. The cast slips back into their roles with ease, and the chemistry is just as sharp, even if the story isn’t. The villain lacks the bite of Gozer, and the plot gets goofy fast, but the tone stays light and entertaining. The emotional beats land, the jokes mostly work, and the ending delivers that classic over-the-top payoff. A solid sequel that coasts on nostalgia and charisma, and mostly sticks the landing.
- Richard7. Dezember 2025Ghostbusters II brought the team back together and I remember enjoying the ride. The discovery of the river of ectoplasm under New York gave the film a darker, more supernatural edge, while still keeping the humor and charm that made the original so beloved. Seeing the Ghostbusters revive their business and face a new wave of spectral chaos felt familiar yet fun. It didn’t quite capture the lightning in a bottle magic of the first film, but it had its own appeal. The mix of comedy, fantasy and action kept me entertained and before I knew it, the movie was over. For me, it was less about comparing it to the original and more about enjoying another chance to spend time with these characters in their ghost busting world.

Die Ghostbusters sind wieder in Action! Diesmal haben gleich zwei Spukgestalten aus dem Reich des Übersinnlichen New York den Kampf angesagt. Zum einen der Geist des bösen Karpatenfürsten Vigo, der unbedingt in Gestalt eines Babys wieder auf die Welt kommen möchte. Zum anderen dieser rosarote Schleim, der am liebsten die ganze Stadt mit seinen “bad vibrations” überziehen würde. Das schreit geradezu nach den Doktoren Venkman, Stantz und Spengler, den Spezialisten für Unglaubliches. Schade nur, dass den Geisterjägern nach ihrem letzten Chaos-Auftritt das Geisterjagen strengstens untersagt wurde. Zum Glück jedoch sind die Ghostbusters die letzten, die sich an derlei unsinnige Vorschriften halten.
Die Hauptcharaktere in Ghostbusters 2 sind Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver).
