Als die 17-jährige Schülerin Millie Kessler ein weiteres Opfer des berüchtigten Serienmörders „Blissfield Butcher“ zu werden droht, wird ein uralter Fluch ausgelöst, der dafür sorgt, dass die beiden die Körper tauschen. Plötzlich steckt die Teenagerin im Körper des erwachsenen Killers und der Mörder steckt im Körper der jungen Frau! Nun bleiben Millie nur 24 Stunden Zeit, um den Tausch rückgängig zu machen, denn sonst muss sie für immer mit dem Antlitz eines gesuchten Killers durch die Gegend laufen. Allerdings will der Blissfield Butcher selbst sein altes Äußeres gar nicht zurück, denn im Körper der so unschuldig wirkenden Teenagerin lassen sich Bluttaten viel besser begehen. Daher braucht Millie die Hilfe ihrer besten Freunde Nyla und Joshua sowie ihres Schwarms Booker…

- leeartlee29. Oktober 2025I remember seeing trailers for this movie right when it came out and saying “Hey, that looks like a ton of fun”. But like so many things, I got distracted and forgot to watch it. But as it’s spooky season, was looking for movies I hadn’t seen and this popped up. All of this is to say, it’s a very clever twist on the “Freak Friday” formula. Certainly could have been a little better written but for what it is, it does it well. Plus, it shockingly has some pretty dope ass violence (if you’re into that thing). Probably won’t watch it again anytime soon but enjoyed it all the same.

- jackmeat14. März 2025My quick rating - 6.9/10. This good of a flick and still had plenty of room for improvement. The "freaky friday" with a serial killer and teenager works very well. I am not sure which was better, the teeny bopper acting like a middle aged serial killer (Kathryn Newton) or by far the show stealing Vince Vaughn portraying a 16 year old girl. Either way it is fun to watch and they just skimped on some of the possibilities they could've utilized. So the town serial killer gets his hands on a ritualistic dagger that when used switches the souls between victim and killer, for 24 hours or becomes permanent. And the "Butcher" is just that. He dispenses with his victims in creative and brutal fashion, something the horror flicks of late had missed. The balance between comedy and horror is done quite well as Vaughn(as Millie) and her two friends must race against the clock to try and catch Newton(as Butcher) so they can stab him/her before it is too late. All the while, they have to avoid the cops, parents and the rest of the school since who is gonna believe them anyway? Casting wise they nailed it for sure. The deaths were filmed with enough gore for some, and enough left to the imagination for others. Definitely worth the watch, especially with the dried-up well as of late.
