Bisher haben die Sowjets nur einen Prototyp hergestellt, und damit das auch so bleibt, planen Amerikaner und Briten, das Flugzeug zu stehlen. Für diesen heiklen Auftrag wird Air-Force-Pilot und Vietnamkriegsveteran Mitchell Gant ausgewählt. Nicht nur, dass er flließend russisch spricht, er hat auch noch dieselbe Körpergröße, wie der Firefox-Testpilot Oberts Voskow. Mit Hilfe der übergelaufenen sowjetischen Wissenschaftler Baranovich und Semelovsky wird Gant mit der Technologie vertraut gemacht und dann nach Russland eingeschleust, um das Flugzeug zu entführen. - eif9996. April 2025The film is basically what Tom Clancy films were a decade later. I’d forgotten all the spy hitchockian stuff in Russia and only remembered the flying. Ultimately not that great when it could have been pretty exciting.
