- Desmond Dale24. Januar 2025Simple but effective. Basic but earnest in a way that makes it a pro rather a con. It's also fantastically shot with a Kieslowski focus on a palette of dark rich blues and reds. Every still has the warmth and lushness of an oil painting. The plot is kind of like if Dancer in the Dark was more optimistic..I guess you could call it two Dancers in the light. It's an enclosed look on the resilience of love in defiance of the sad, ugly and depressive industrial backdrop in which they find themselves.

Juli 2025Utterly endearing rom com with a middle-aged meet-cute (and meet-again-cute) amidst a storm of loneliness, low paying jobs, alcoholism, shut down factories and a backdrop of an advancing war in the nearby Ukraine. The longing silences and deadpan dialogue envelops their relationship with an awkwardly charming chemistry. The film overall suggests a hopefulness in distilling some happiness in an otherwise dour universe.

- Varun19. Oktober 2024This is a movie about people who live lonely and hollow lives while they try to earn money working dead end jobs and how romance can lighten up their lives a little. It’s a very common story in the modern world but god I found this movie utterly boring. After 50 minutes I started fast forwarding scenes to quickly get to the end. I’m guessing since I don’t know the language, the deadpan conversational style and humour didn’t work for me at all. The only thing I enjoyed was the music and song selection.
