Eines Tages lernt Lloyd auf einer seiner Fahrten die hübsche Mary Swanson kennen. Als er sie am Flughafen absetzt, vergisst sie scheinbar ihren Koffer. Lloyd stürmt hinterher, um ihr das Gepäckstück zurückzugeben - ohne zu ahnen, dass es sich dabei um das Lösegeld für Marys entführten Ehemann handelt. Die beiden Entführer staunen nicht schlecht, als sich Lloyd den Koffer vor ihrer Nase wegschnappt und damit verschwindet. Da er Mary nicht mehr erwischt, machen sich Lloyd und Harry auf eine verrückte Reise, um den Koffer zurückzubringen...

- Jordan Jonesvor 3 TagenDumb and Dumber - is in My Top 3 Favourite Comedies of all time, that's how much I love this film!! This right here is peak 90's Comedy that makes me laugh so much even to this day, it never gets old and still holds up remarkably well. The Comedy is still as funny now, as it was when I first watched it years ago. Dumb & Dumber is very quotable the Comedy all sticks, it's paced really well and most importantly the onscreen chemistry between Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels is off the charts good they both bounce off eachother so well 👏👏👏 Dumb and Dumber is very watchable, entertaining and memorable from start to finish, there's never a dull moment in it at all.

Januar 2025🤪 If you owned the first generation Dumb & Dumber movie on VHS, You owned the original copy, the untouched version because this movie on first generation VHS cassette was around before the special editions & Extended versions. The first DVD version was cut and then cut again for telly. The film became a mess. It was originally released as a 15 certificate. This UNCUT version of Dumb & Dumber is just the original VHS put back to its full glory on DVD. This is the only version to own and I am glad they put this fantastic hilariously breath gasping funny movie, though very gross, back to its original full version state it was originally released. Jim Carrey is at his dumbest best & Jeff Daniels was well out of his comfort zone while making this movie but Jeff just let his self go and well, we have an incredible hilarious movie that actually works. You will laugh. You will smile and then after the front credits have finished, you'll be spitting your drink out, gasping for breath through uncontrollable laughter, laughing so much you'll need tissues to wipe those tears and you'll need to keep rewinding the movie because you laughed so much, you missed the next 5 minuets. This movie is just short of 2hrs but the 1st time you watch this movie, it will be more like 3 hrs because of the rewinding you'll have to do. My favourite scene? There's too many to choose from so, the beer bottles and the Police officer... naked women and a bus at the end of the movie... there are no favourite moments because it's 2 hrs of complete hilarious stupidity. You may die laughing trying to catch your breath. This movie is relentless. Gag after gag after gag. Watch the background, listen to what they are saying to each other and do not go into a public toilet after midnight. Sharing a bath scene is brilliant banter between the pair. Try to listen carefully but you will need to rewind many times anyway once you've finished laughing. Warning: It is very gross out adult, teenager humour. Sexual, toilet & gay humour. I do not recall any racist comments. If you suffer breathing problems, watch this movie with your breathing machine on, it really is that funny. Try not to drink or eat while watching this movie. You will make a mess. Do I recommend this film, this uncut version? Absolutely. It maybe 26 years old of this review posted date but it is a timeless classic.

- Manuel Frangis26. März 2025I just watched Dumb and Dumber again and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie is pure comedy gold. No matter how many times I have seen it, it still makes me laugh out loud. It is one of those rare movies where the jokes never get old, the characters are iconic, and the stupid humor is so perfectly done that it becomes genius in its own way. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are the perfect comedy duo as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne. They are both so committed to playing two of the dumbest characters ever put on screen, and they somehow make you love them for it. Their timing is perfect, their chemistry is unbeatable, and they throw themselves into every ridiculous moment like it is the most serious thing in the world. The story is simple but works perfectly for the kind of chaos this movie delivers. Lloyd and Harry go on a cross country road trip to return a briefcase, not knowing it is full of ransom money and being tracked by dangerous criminals. That setup leads to so many dumb decisions, awkward moments, and insane situations that it feels like something wild is happening every five minutes. The comedy in this movie is legendary. It is filled with quotable lines, unforgettable scenes, and physical comedy that hits every time. There is no limit to how far this movie is willing to go for a laugh. Whether it is a ridiculous prank, a gross-out moment, or just the two of them being completely clueless, it all lands. There are so many classic bits that still get referenced today, and for good reason. What makes Dumb and Dumber work so well is that it is not just about being stupid. The movie is smart about how dumb it is. It knows exactly what it is doing. The writing is sharp, the delivery is perfect, and even the most ridiculous gags are built around strong comedic timing. Carrey and Daniels know how to play dumb without making it boring or one-note. They turn cluelessness into an art form. The pacing is fast and fun. The movie never drags and there is always something new around the corner. From the road trip scenes to the hotel mayhem to the weird run-ins with strangers, everything moves along with just the right amount of madness. You never feel like you are waiting for the next big laugh because they come nonstop. Even with all the insanity, the characters still feel oddly lovable. Lloyd and Harry are clearly not smart, but their friendship and weird sense of loyalty make them kind of sweet in a bizarre way. They might mess everything up, but they are trying their best, and that gives the movie a little bit of heart under all the nonsense. I give it 5 out of 5 stars because it is one of the funniest movies ever made. It never tries to be something it is not. It is loud, stupid, chaotic, and absolutely hilarious from start to finish. It is not trying to be deep. It is just trying to make you laugh, and it totally succeeds. Overall Dumb and Dumber is a comedy classic that has stood the test of time and still holds up as one of the best buddy comedies ever. I love it and will never get tired of watching it.
