Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts reist der Makler Renfield im Auftrag des englischen Geschäftsmannes Jonathan Harker nach Transsylvanien. Er soll dort mit Graf Dracula ein Immobiliengeschäft abschließen. Der Graf entpuppt sich als Vampir, kerkert Harker ein und reist an seiner Stelle nach London zurück, wo sein Begehr auf Harkers Geliebte Mina fällt. Doch bevor Dracula sie beißen und zu seiner Sklavin machen kann, schreitet der Vampirjäger Van Helsing ein.

- Tom Majski6. Januar 2026Wow. I can't really believe its taken me 95 years to watch this! But oh does it live up to reputation. I can't really imagine how impactful this must have been in 31 but outside of masterworks such as Metropolis, its the earliest 'really fucking epic' film that stands tall with the all time cinematic greats. Bela Legosi stares like no one else! Seeing all the characters we know from one of cinemas most well told stories in their orignal form is amazing, but the fact that this is one of the best ever portrayals of the story is all the more significant. Harker, Van Helsing, Mina, they're all here and done so well. We all know Legosi's Dracula whether we have seen it or not, he's the go-to with the smart dress and awesome accent. Its iconic for a reason and know I know the reason. Brilliant.
