You can really feel the Rear Window influence all over it, just with a more modern, teen-focused vibe. It’s not super polished and some parts feel a bit dated, but the mix of suspense and humor keeps it engaging. It knows what it is and doesn’t overcomplicate things. Not perfect, but easy to get into and pretty fun for what it is.

Januar 2026The plot of the movie is okay enough, nothing special happening, typical teenager thinks his neighbor is a killer and then proceeds to play detective and see if it is true type of story. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and will make you ask questions over and over again, those are always the thrillers that are worth seeing.

After I was done watching i just forgot about this movie and did not want to discuss with my friends. Later, observing Viola Davis's filmography I remembered that she was in it as detective. I love this actress and see her starting in such movies is funny.

Nachdem er den Tod seines Vaters mitansehen mußte, gerät der junge Kale außer Tritt und hat an nichts mehr Interesse. Seine geplagte Mutter kann sich wegen Nachtarbeit nicht um ihn kümmern, also ist Kale bald gefangen in den eigenen vier Wänden. Aus bloßer Neugier fängt er an, seine Nachbarn auszuspionieren - und ist schon bald davon überzeugt, daß Mr.Turner von nebenan in Wirklichkeit ein Serienkiller ist.
