- jackmeat21. August 2025My quick rating - 2.2/10. Oops, duped into another Asylum flick. They suckered me in with Fred Williamson right across the top of the poster LOL. And after watching this one, I think that is where all 2 points came from. Admittedly, this isn't the worst Asylum has put out there, but when comparing to near zeros, that isn't saying much. The acting is absolutely laughable in this one, to the point that it might be a slight highlight here. A plane crashes, and the survivors are left on an island that seems to be the portal to the lost city of Atlantis. The home of the ancient civilization of English-speaking underwater people that has all the latest electronics, higher-level technology than the rest of the world, and a keen fashion sense, which is clearly what you would expect from a society of people removed from all others. And wouldn't you know it, they have harnessed their own nuclear weapons and plan to trick the stranded into helping lead an assault on the air breathers, which, then again, all the Atlanteans breathe as well. They plan to mount the attack from their brick and wood submarine, LOL, which apparently is a high-tech version of the subs to come. This is all part of the plot points as the Atlantean people believe the rest of the world is destroying the planet, and due to climate change, must be stopped. All the many plot points this debacle decides to throw at you, but in the end, all I thought was the exact first thing I typed.

Eine Linienmaschine stürzt in der Nacht bei schweren Turbulenzen inmitten des berüchtigten Bermuda-Dreiecks ab. Die Überlebenden, darunter das Meeresbiologen-Paar Vera und Del Collins, können sich auf eine Insel retten, deren kriegerische Bewohner sich als „Atlanter“, Angehörige der sagenumwobenen versunkenen Stadt Atlantis, ausgeben. Mit einem Tiefsee-U-Boot werden sie nach Atlantis gebracht, einer Stadt, die unter einer Kuppel tief auf dem Meeresgrund verborgen liegt und von einem riesigen dreiköpfigen Seemonster bewacht wird. Die anfängliche Begeisterung der Wissenschaftler für die erstaunlichen technischen Errungenschaften, die es dort gibt, währt allerdings nur kurz. Denn die Atlanter wollen die Menschheit, die die Meere und damit die Umwelt ihrer Heimat über Jahrhunderte zerstört hat, komplett vernichten. Mit Hilfe des ebenfalls in Atlantis „gestrandeten“ Ex-Soldaten Pluto setzen die beiden nun alles daran, dies zu verhindern…
