    a great B-Movie, it really managed to entertain me and above all the plot is valid, and this makes it even more enjoyable.

    A sad-sack nightclub New York City piano man loses the love of his life when she leaves to chase her Hollywood dreams. Hitchhiking across the nation to follow her, he gets into the wrong car, and heads down a highway full of misfortune, stolen identity and death.

    Watched the new Criterion DVD which looks amazing. Just the right amount of grain. Watching the restoration feature made me even more impressed when you realize some of the restoration was done BY hand with painting. Finally a clear, crisp copy of this ultimate film noir.
