Regie Sidney LumetFrüher einmal war Sidney Bruhl ein angesehener Drehbuchautor am Theater, doch seine besten Jahre sind lange vorbei. Heute verdient er seine Brötchen, indem er den Nachuchs in Seminaren schult. Als ihm eines Tages Clifford Anderson, einer seiner Schüler, ein ausgesprochen gutes Werk mit dem Titel “Das Mörderspiel” gibt, ist er begeistert – so begeistert, daß er gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Myra plant, den jungen Mann zu ermorden, um dann die Geschichte unter seinem eigenen Namen verkaufen zu können.

- cultfilmliker20. März 2025Christopher Reeve is Ash from THE EVIL DEAD Powerful performances from the leads. Dyan Cannon absolutely shines in this role. An immediate fav performance of mine. Incredible. Enjoyed the psychic character and the actress very much. Only complaint is Caine overacting at points which happens Very capably directed by Lumet and enjoyed the wildly meta script tho parts of the plot feel tired to me but I blame that on time which sucks bc I feel it makes the dialogue a slog. The tone of the script is incredibly pompous but I get it and enjoyed it.
