It is fast, hilarious, action packed, and completely unapologetic about how ridiculous and over the top it is. From the very first scene, you know exactly what kind of movie you are getting into and it never slows down. Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. He completely disappears into the role and brings the perfect mix of sarcasm, chaos, and heart. Every line he delivers is on point, and the way he breaks the fourth wall constantly just adds to the fun. He is self aware, loud, violent, and somehow still lovable. There is never a dull moment when he is on screen, and his performance is a huge reason why this movie works so well. The story is simple but effective. It follows Wade Wilson, a former special forces guy who becomes Deadpool after going through a brutal experiment that leaves him with powers and a seriously messed up face. He goes on a mission for revenge while cracking jokes, fighting bad guys, and causing as much destruction as possible along the way. The humor is one of the best parts of the movie. It is fast, sharp, dirty, and completely unfiltered. Deadpool is not afraid to say anything and everything, and the jokes never stop. Some are clever, some are just dumb fun, and others are so wild you cannot believe they made it into a superhero movie. But they all land. The action scenes are awesome. They are full of slow motion, brutal hand to hand combat, insane shootouts, and creative kills. Everything feels slick and well choreographed, but with that extra flair that makes it feel like Deadpool is just having fun while blowing things up. The violence is definitely intense, but it fits the tone perfectly. The supporting cast also adds a lot. Colossus is a hilarious contrast to Deadpool’s madness, acting like the moral compass and trying to keep things clean. Negasonic Teenage Warhead is also great with her deadpan reactions and cool attitude. Even the villain is solid and gives Deadpool a good reason to go completely unhinged. The pacing is tight. The movie never drags or wastes time. It bounces between past and present in a way that actually works, giving you the backstory without slowing down the action. Every scene either moves the story forward or gives you more jokes, and there is no filler. Another thing I really like is how different this movie feels from other superhero movies. It is smaller in scale, more personal, and totally focused on being fun instead of saving the world. It is not trying to be deep or complicated, it just wants to be awesome, and it pulls it off. The reason I give it 5 out of 5 stars is because it delivers exactly what it promises and then some. It is funny, wild, violent, and somehow still has just enough heart to make you care. Ryan Reynolds kills it, the writing is sharp, and the whole vibe of the movie is just cool. Overall Deadpool is one of the best comic book movies ever made. It broke the rules in all the best ways and showed that superhero movies can be hilarious and insane while still being great. I loved every second of it and I will definitely keep watching it over and over again.
- MBUlovesCinema25. August 2026Not a bad movie honestly. I had heard a lot about this one before watching it, so I was curious to see if it actually lived up to all the hype. I really liked Wade as a character. He’s obviously funny as hell, but I actually liked the more serious stuff with Vanessa and how he deals with everything that happens to him. The whole thing with Ajax was pretty entertaining too, and I liked how the movie doesn’t take itself too seriously while still having an actual story underneath all the jokes. I think the main thing I took from it is that it’s basically about optimism. When life takes away almost everything that makes you happy, you find something worth fighting for and keep going. Just don’t take everything so seriously. 😂 8/10

Ryan Reynolds absolutely nails the character and brings the perfect mix of sarcasm, chaos, and ridiculous humor that makes Deadpool so great. The fourth-wall breaks, the violence, and the overall attitude feel like they were pulled straight from the comics. It really feels like the people behind it understood what makes the character special. The action is a blast, the jokes hit way more often than they miss, and the movie has so much personality compared to a lot of superhero films. It’s not trying to be some serious epic, it just fully commits to being Deadpool and that’s why it works so well. Easily one of my favorite comic book adaptations and a movie that finally gave the character the treatment he deserved.

And I was kinda worried he wouldn’t appreciate the Deadpool humor as much as I did. But good news! He did!! Anyway, loved this movie. Super fun. Ryan Reynolds is amazing. Peace out.
