Party, Pot und Poppen: Paul, Karen, Marcy, Jeff und Bert haben den College-Abschluss in der Tasche. Zur Belohnung starten sie zu einer einwöchigen Mega-Fete in einer einsamen Holzhütte. Als ein infizierter Jäger Blut spuckend Hilfe beim Partyvölkchen sucht, geraten die Kids in Panik. Mit Knüppeln und Feuer schlagen sie den Kranken in die Flucht. Der schleppt sich als lebende Fackel zum Trinkwasser-Reservoir des Blockhauses. Das Verhängnis nimmt seinen Lauf. Karen trifft's als erste. Und als der Rest Hilfe bei einheimischen Hinterwäldlern sucht, machen die zu allem Überfluss auch noch Jagd auf die kranke Gruppe.

Januar 2026What I really loved about Cabin Fever, is that the villain of the film is an invisible killer and the sense of dread and isolation that it brings whenever somebody gets the disease. Also I loved the gore and the practical effects, I thought it was all very well done. I thought as a whole all of the characters were memorable and stood out in their own ways, even though a couple of them were douchebags, but that comes with the territory in horror films. I love how Eli Roth shot this, I thought it was very well paced and edited together nicely!!! However I thought the dialogue throughout most of the movie was quite weak, lame and not that much to write home about. Overall I think this is one of the better and quite underrated horror films of the 2000's, I've always really enjoyed this Movie and is one that I do go back and rewatch about twice a year, I have a lot of nostalgia and a bit of a soft spot for it. Cabin Fever 2003 is a movie that I recommend people who haven't seen it before go and watch.
