Auch wenn man es nicht auf den ersten – oder zweiten – Blick vermuten würde: Moke Munger und Jady Munger sind Zwillingsbrüder und haben in der Vergangenheit häufig zusammengearbeitet. Allerdings nicht im herkömmlichen, sondern im kriminellen Sinne, was ihnen schon einige Jahre im Knast eingebracht hat. Für Moke sind diese Zeiten nun aber schon seit einer ganzen Weile vorbei – bis eines Tages Jady wieder vor seiner Tür steht und ihn darum bittet, ihm bei einem letzten Coup zu helfen. Nur unter Druck willigt Moke ein und beide begeben sich auf einen Roadtrip durch die USA, der sie nicht nur vor dem schießwütigen Polizisten Farful flüchten lässt, sondern sie auch wieder mit ihrer entfremdeten und ausgefuchsten Mutter Cath zusammenbringt – und ein Orang-Utan und Smaragde im Wert von vier Millionen US-Dollar spielen bei alledem auch noch eine wichtige Rolle.
