Unfortunately, the direction is a little too poor in the budget a little too low to meet its goals as in film. Still with Henry Cavil and Michael Fasbender, there are still reasons to watch it.
- ርልዪረ20. Februar 2025In the 1930's, the Nazis dabbled in the occult. An American family plays host to a German man who comes to see an ancient stone that was found on their property. But there is much more to this 'scholar' than they thought when they invited him into their home. 70 years later, the effects of this visit are still playing out. There was potential here for a very big story but somehow the filmmakers have made it feel small and self-contained. The action is centred on a small farmhouse and one family who have been cursed by accepting the Nazi officer into their home. The Marshall brothers are drawn into the nightmare 70 years on and it is up to them to bring the nightmare to an end. The film has a 'bad guy' who at times seems a bit lame and the story plays out pretty much as you would expect. It's not a bad watch but doesn't reach its potential. 3.5 stars.

Evans todgeglaubter Bruder Victor taucht nach zwei Jahren plötzlich aus dem Nichts wieder auf und bittet ihn verzweifelt um Hilfe. Er erzählt von einer okkulten Familie, die ihn gefangen gehalten und gequält hat. Sein mit Narben übersäter Körper genügt Evan als Beweis dafür, dass sein Bruder die Wahrheit sagt. Kurzerhand beschließen sie die grausamen Taten zu rächen und den Tätern ein Ende zu bereiten. Bis an die Zähne bewaffnet machen sie sich auf den Weg. Als sie auf dem abgelegenen Landgut ankommen müssen sie allerdings feststellen, dass die einfache Bauernfamilie das geringere Übel ist. Im Keller des Anwesens lauert nämlich eine todbringende Gefahr, die ihre Wurzeln bereits zur Zeit der Nazis geschlagen hat ...
