- Callum6. Juni 2026⭐⭐½ – Bikini Model Academy – Exactly what it says on the tin. Some films aim for greatness. Some aim for awards. Bikini Model Academy aims for exactly what the title promises and absolutely nothing more. This is a cheap thrill built around good-looking people, light comedy, and an excuse to spend as much time as possible around swimsuits. There’s no deep message hidden beneath the surface, no grand character arcs, and certainly no attempt to reinvent cinema. The film knows what it's selling, and to its credit, it doesn't pretend otherwise. That honesty is probably its greatest strength. You aren't lured in with promises of a clever plot only to be disappointed later. What you see on the cover is pretty much what you get for the entire runtime. The comedy is hit-and-miss, the story is little more than a framework to move between scenes, and the performances are exactly what you'd expect from this sort of production. None of that makes it particularly good, but it does make it strangely straightforward to judge. In the end, it's difficult to be too harsh on a movie that delivers precisely the product it advertises. Equally, it's difficult to praise it much beyond that. You get what's advertised. No more and no less. 🍹 A brightly coloured beach cocktail — sweet, shallow, and consumed more for the presentation than the substance.

T.J. (Benjamin Stone) und Benji (Phillip Andre Botello) sind Taugenichtse wie sie im Buche stehen. So verwundert es auch nicht, dass ihre Freundinnen schnell die Schnauze voll den beiden faulen Herren haben und sie verlassen. Ohne finanzielle Mittel und ohne hübsche Mädels macht das Leben aber nur halb so viel Spaß. Beim Kiffen kommt ihnen dann eine göttliche Eingebung. Zusammen gründen mit etwas Hilfe von T.J.s Onkel Seymour (Gary Busey) eine Bikini Model Akademie. Damit sollen sich ihre Geldprobleme in Luft auflösen und sie wollen schöne Frauen kennenlernen. Aus unerfindlichen Gründen geht ihr Plan auf und eine attraktive Dame nach der anderen rennt ihnen die Bude ein – alle im Bikini. Der Traum vom Grabschen und Gaffen wird wahr, doch ihr Unternehmen hat Konkurrenz. Eine rivalisierende Model-Schule, die auch noch von ihrem alten Erzfeind geleitet wird, will ihnen um jeden Preis das Business zerstören.
