This film emerged from a number of experiences that we share over the years with Monica Galan, main actress of the film. I took this project with passion, or rather, the project took me. Despite my plans, I found myself writing, thinking, dreaming this universe. The images appeared leading me to the choice of title 'BALDIO'(Wasteland). While it was a sensation, I was very curious to consult the dictionary. Baldío (Wasteland): 1- (land) That is not cultivated or worked. 2- (effort, commitment) That is useless because it does not offer any results. How to convey impotence, the effort of a mother in her attempt to save her son from drugs and show the coexistence of logic and despair when they happen at the same time? How does this same fact reflect the state of things in dysfunctional society?
