A movie so amazing you can literally feel the emotions of characters even though you very well know they are not real. When you are rooting for the other team and kinda makes you hate how pathetic human beings can be and have been. I hope it makes at least $5 Billion and James Cameron makes at least 10 sequels. It deserves to be watched on the big screen. This is absolute cinema!!
- Jan2. Januar 2026In my opinion, this Avatar film is the best one so far. While the plot strongly resembles that of the first two movies, it also offers some fresh elements. The visuals are once again spectacular, just like in the previous films. It doesn’t expand the world of Pandora dramatically, but the worldbuilding has made clear progress in a spiritual sense. In my view, this film is worth seeing in the cinema. You don’t have to worry about spending 15–20€ on a disappointing movie.

It felt like a bunch of well-written strands weaved together into a beautiful but wobbly finished product.

- vangh113. Februar 2026Maybe it's just because I saw this at 9:30pm on a weekday, but this felt ALL of it's 3 and a quarter hour run time. There's no doubt it's absolutely a theatrical spectacle, and I wanted to be sure to catch it in cinema because of that, but after the third 15 minute sequence of another type of Pandora animal killing endless waves of baddies, I really started to wonder what we're even doing here? Avatar's story exists in this weird place where all of it's plot and characters are hitting on all these heavy themes that should be super timely, and yet none of it really feels like it matters at all, despite how much craft and care is clearly put into making this wondrous alien world look and feel so genuine. High frame rate really took me out, too. It was so bizarre having that hyper-realism from the HFR take me out of the artifice of movie in shots that were 100% artificial to begin with. It really felt like a battle with psychosis at times. Also, having the closing line of your 3 hour epic being that dude saying, "No shit..." is just an absolute choice.
