Just beautiful cinematography, one of those movies that the audience can just hit that flow state due to great scenes and great acting, in my opinion this is definitely in my list of favorites horror movies!

Apartment 7A is a worthy prequel to a 1960's classic, hitting nostalgic Satanic notes while also telling a new story about the horrors of being a woman.

Making a prequel to one of the best movies of all time was kind of a doomed endeavor from the outset, but this movie still manages to surprise in just how mediocre, dull and totally unnecessary is it. Save yourself some time and just go see Rosemary's Baby again.

Going in I didn't know this was a prequel to Rosemary's Baby but a continuation. I did not 'feel' the late 60s here, when the first film took place. This felt like maybe the 80s but with modern day cinematography on Julia Garner, a great actress, who's following a script that's literally lifting from the classic— page to page. I understand the neighbors were cast to emulate the performances of the original, which I'm sorry to say, just cannot be done. This isn't a homage but an impressionist exercise that's only bought by audiences who have never seen the 1968 film. Just another example of an uninspired Hollywood that refuse to take risks on new ideas so instead hire Michael Bay to grab at our beloved masterpieces. The silver lining is his attempts and others are instantly foregettable. Next.

    A little slow for me

A great attempt and idea with ample liberties taken with the character established in Rosemary’s baby. Timelines don’t fit together as they easily could from what we know of Terry from Rosemary‘s baby and from what they introduce us to here. All of that being said, Julia Garner has been and will be a forced to be reckoned with in cinema and long format, visual storytelling for the rest of her life. She gets stronger and stronger with each performance… Which is saying a lot because she came in like a hurricane in Ozark. She’s phenomenal as always in this film Bravo

Prequel to Rosemary's Baby (1968). Which is a very strong film. This however, is most valued for it's lore. Not a without it's moments tho and not a total bore. This with the combination of Resmary's Baby 68' being as good as it is makes Apartment 7A worth a watch. Definitely better to watch this one first. 5.2/10
