Regie Damien HarveyAnimus is based on the concept of there being corruption in the justice system of Purgatory, allowing people to buy their way into Heaven. In Purgatory, Angels await the arrival of their Animus, a central soul shared between themselves and a Human counterpart. Their fates are intimately connected, but for a price, an Angel can have their sins extracted from their Animus, allowing them access to Heaven, even if they have sinned.
