What I appreciated most is that the movie doesn't demand that the viewer abandon their beliefs. Instead, it invites reflection. Whether you're a lifelong believer, struggling with faith, or simply curious about spirituality, the film encourages honest examination of what you believe and why. For younger audiences especially, I think movies like this can be valuable. Many people are exposed to religion through rules, traditions, or the opinions of others, but fewer are encouraged to wrestle with the deeper questions themselves. This film creates space for those conversations. You don't have to agree with every idea presented to appreciate the discussion it starts. In a world where people are often told what to think, there is value in a story that encourages people to ask questions, seek understanding, and engage with faith thoughtfully. A moving film that left me with plenty to think about long after the credits rolled.

Paul Asher, ein aufstrebender Journalist, kehrt aus Afghanistan zurück. Dort hat er über den dortigen Krieg berichtet. Die Erlebnisse im Krisengebiet haben den jungen Mann schwer erschüttert. Während er zurück in den USA über religiöse Themen schreibt, gerät Pauls Leben aus den Fugen: Seine Ehe geht in die Brüche und er durchlebt eine persönliche Krise. Darüber hinaus hat auch ein Soldat, mit dem sich Paul im Kriegsgebiet angefreundet hat, große Probleme und der Journalist setzt alles daran, ihm unter die Arme zu greifen. Dann nimmt Pauls Leben allerdings eine höchst merkwürdige Wendung: Ein mysteriöser Mann, der von sich selbst behauptet, Gott zu sein, bietet ihm ein Interview an. Natürlich ist Paul stutzig, ablehnen kann und will er dieses Angebot aber nicht. Falls es sich dabei wirklich um den Allmächtigen handelt, möchte Paul diese Chance auf keinen Fall verpassen.
