- Desmond Dale24. Januar 2025Just the perfect horror and possibly my favorite Sci-Fi film ever. The pacing is masterful. Ridley stretches out each kill to its furthest point of tension. The biomechanical designs by Geiger are impossibly detailed and intricate. And it's just a film that has a slightly slow start but never steps crescendoing until it's very last minute.

From the character development and design, to the iconic set and practical effects; Alien really did set the tone for an entire Genre. Always worth watch, My favorite all time movie. Ellen Ripley is one of the most well written Female Main Characters. The World is full of intrigue, this movie left an incredible legacy.

Perhaps the whole ‘guy in a suit plays the alien’ might come across as silly and dated to some but it’s worth looking through all the quiet moments of tension. A score that sits and swells, shadow and light aim to direct and confuse. These all play together so well in the purpose that dreaded unknown is what is coming for you and all hope is lost. Alien is more than a slasher film in space. It’s an unparalleled triumph for its time that defied modern and classic conventions to create a truly unique vision on horror that plays with imagination in a way that it is truly timeless.

April 2026Ridley Scott's Alien is the equivalent of John Carpenters The Thing but in space instead there's nowhere to go....no escape and has that feeling of isolation about it. While James Cameron's Aliens is bigger in scale and has a lot more action....Alien is the more scary and is the one that has the more atmosphere. Just imagine for a minute being trapped millions of miles in space on a spacecraft with a Xenermorph on board....that would be beyond terrifying and Ridley Scott really used the setting & the visuals to enhance that feeling of vulnerability. Alien was so ahead of its time and the whole production design & visuals still hold up today. Alien is the very best Sci-Fi horror ever made a 💯 And finally my Ratings/Scores for Alien 1979 is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a 10/10

Der Bordcomputer weckt daraufhin die Mannschaft, die der Hilferuf wenig später auf einen unwirtlichen Planten führt. Dabei entdeckt die Crew das Wrack eines außerirdischen Raumschiffs. Ein Crewmitglied wird dabei von einem Alien angegriffen, das sich auf seinem Gesicht festsaugt. Dem Schiffsarzt Ash gelingt zwar die Entfernung des fremden Organismus, doch das außerirdische Wesen ist damit längst nicht besiegt. In der Enge des Raumfrachters beginnt ein Kampf ums Überleben, bei der Feind nahezu unsichtbar, heimtückisch und äußerst tödlich ist...
