The story follows Becket, a spoiled kitten who, after losing his ninth and final life, stands before the guardian of heaven begging for a second chance. What he doesn't realize is that, instead of returning as the pampered kitten he was, he will now have to live as different animals: from a mouse to a skunk. What really stands out about this film is Becket's evolution. As he experiences each life, he learns valuable lessons about humility, friendship and the importance of understanding others. The situations he finds himself in are hilarious and often poignant, causing the viewer to laugh and be moved in equal parts. Visually, the film is attractive and colorful, perfect for appealing to both children and adults. The animation is fluid and the character designs are adorable, adding extra charm to the story. The soundtrack complements the different stages of the plot very well, making you become even more immersed in Becket's adventures. In summary, “Becket's 10 Lives” is a film that, although it is mainly aimed at a family audience, has a message that resonates with everyone: sometimes, we have to get out of our comfort zone and live different experiences to grow and find our best version. A perfect choice for an afternoon of cinema at home, where laughter and reflections are assured.

It's a knockoff Pixar story about a selfish cat who gets reincarnated as different animals, but it's soulless, predictable, and emotionally shallow. The animation is generic, the characters are forgettable, and the plot becomes a repetitive slog. It's a film completely devoid of stakes or charm. While very young kids might be briefly entertained, adults will find it a dull and uninspired waste of time.
