Metalocalypse

Metalocalypse
The show is a beautiful, chaotic mashup of brutal metal culture and pitch-black comedy, where the characters are somehow both larger-than-life rock gods and complete man-children who can’t function without their manager. The dialogue is delivered with the deadpan intensity of people who’ve never heard of emotions, and the plot oscillates between band drama, government conspiracies, and the casual destruction of entire cities. It’s dumb. It’s brilliant. It shreds harder than it has any right to. Also, the music slaps—like, legitimately slaps. Even with a humorous pastiche approach to the genre, Brendon Small's love of metal genuinely comes through, and Dethklok is a rad contribution, beloved by all metalheads.
