I actually came this far in attempt to like this, but shit is shit and no matter how much Tabasco Sauce, Ketchup or mayo you throw on it cannot make it edible. Kurtzman was able to destroy 60 years with this garbage: Paramount's own Kathleen Kennedy. Pure checklist garbage and blaming original fan base for being myopic. This movie is just missing something to make it a classic. It has a reference to my hometown; Mt Vernon and one of the 1st movie's my friend is in Improlio us in. It gritty Vietnam disillusions with black revolution* and the Brink's heist. The Hughes brothers put too much in with too little time. Either it should be 3 1/2 hours or skim over Nam. * "The Revolution will not be televised it will be live from your window. As an American my son is also Australian by my wife, so I try to teach him some Aussie history with movies that are relevant and books. Vets say they got this right about Long Tan mid 60s. Great concept with some ideas taken "Flatliners." Difference is the demon world knows what is happening and they are going to hitch a ride to our realm when Frank wakes up from his visit with the dead. He has new powers and is of the light realm and can heal and also takes a look into Enoch & Angels with its 9 realms. The 9th level of angels is the highest with Seraphim and Metatron (Enoch) which Frank consults to defeat Satan. Book of Enoch, The 9 Realms of Angels, Worlds of Light and Dark, Magik of Solomon, Enochian Magic are good prerequisites for this and a lot of supernatural horror.Tabernacle 101 - A Cursed Man

OMG, I loved this. Based on the ritual of Arabel the Mage that opened a dark door. Please verse yourself on the ritual of Enochian spiritualism before watching so you can understand it better in the Mage's system. A little bit on the artsy side but takes place in my old town, Ridgefield, CT. Hometown of the writer & director Liz Garcia whose father I knew. Bell is in an early mid-life crisis at almost 30 and leaves NYC to go home to the suburban Ridgefield, CT (on NY border, battle site in American Revolution, wealthiest 250 USA town). Her boyfriend was fooling around with her as she finds out he is engaged to be married soon. A story she wrote on a caged tiger in a NYC apartment resonates with her as she feels she is trapped as the baby tiger was and needs an escape. She goes back to her high school job as a lifeguard at the town's condo community. She starts hanging out at her old high school haunts and with high school kids. Then she starts an affair with a 16-year-old. Soundtrack is very indie band as heard a few groups. The movie resonates with me as I had my weekend home in Ridgefield. I was making high 6 figures before 30, so filed for divorce moved to that home to reassess and put my life in a new direction and do a lot of charity work.The Lifeguard - In Harm's Way
Loosely based on the Doolittle Raid bombing over Tokyo where a B-25 heavy bomber squad flew off an aircraft carrier, USS Hornet to bomb Tokyo. The pilots did minimum damage unlike the movie but it was a severe psychological blow to Japan as they were vunerable. The pilots had to ditch their planes over China and out of 80 crew 69 survived the war. Movie really loosely based on and mostly fictionalized. It is entertaining but there's a lot of mistakes in it for Hollywood got lazy with details with pre-WW2 or Vietnam era military hardware and styles used in the movie. 10 years too late or 20 years too early.In Harm's Way
