Der er et forsøg på at kidnappe Nora, og langsomt men sikkert fremgår det, at hendes far, som hun troede var død, stadig skal være i live. Han bliver holdt fangenskab af skattejægeren Schwartz. Skatjægeren mener, at Noras far ved, hvor mønten er, og ønsker at kidnappe Nora for at chribe ham til at aflevere mønten.
