The Border (2014)Sæson 2

Four years have passed. The borderland remains unstable; more and more people are crossing the border illegally, and the Border Guard operates under enormous pressure. Prosecutor Iga Dobosz (Aleksandra Popławska) returns to the Bieszczady to lead an investigation into a gruesome crime. Markowski (Andrzej Zieliński), who keeps the unit under firm control, has earned the trust of his subordinates, but the events of the past continue to haunt him. Grzywa is dead. Rebrow (Leszek Lichota), pursued by the justice system, is hiding deep in the Bieszczady wilderness. He struggles against the harsh natural environment and remains in contact only with two friends — Łuczak (Jacek Lenartowicz) and Marta (Anita Jancia-Prokopowicz). Everything changes when an undocumented immigrant, Alsu (Anna Donchenko), appears at his hideout.

Episode 1There is unrest in the borderland, and Border Guards working under enormous pressure. Prosecutor Dobosz returns to the Bieszczady Mountains to lead a new investigation. Wanted by the police, Rebrow is hiding in the backwoods.

Episode 2Dobosz suspects that new developments are somehow related to an old case. Two new people appear in Rebrow's hideout. He has an impression that both are hiding something from him. Worried about Marta, Rebrow embarks his own search.

Episode 3There is another human trafficking incident on the border. Border Guards organize a raid which leads to a shootout. New suspects are named in the investigation, what brings back old demons, revives past conflicts and primeval fears.

Episode 4When Rebrow doesn't return, Alsu and her son become anxious. Kalita is exasperated because he has no contact with Cinek's men. Meanwhile, Border Guard and police are investigating evidence from the shootout. Dobosz arrives at the scene.

Episode 5There are new suspects who may help solve the case. Dobosz is trying to earn Alsu's trust to find out how she managed to get to Rebrow's hideout. She places Alsu and Halid in a refugee center. Rebrow tries to reach them.

Episode 6Dobosz brings to light inconsistencies in evidence given by suspects. Overwhelmed by emotions, Rebrow is struggling to bring matters to an end, but his plans are suddenly scotched. Markowski is relentlessly trying to solve the case.
