The heroes of the film firmly believe that conscience does not freeze even in the most severe frost, and gold mining is something like a sports hobby; risk, dangerous adventures, and sometimes difficult trials, these people go through. Their pathos is not in the struggle for gold, but in the struggle for human souls.
