Rome

Rome

I was continuously surprised by the show's ability to stay interesting while keeping the broad strokes of the history accurate.
I found myself frequently fact checking the major events while watching, and the depiction here always got high marks from me. The real history is generally more bureaucratic and convoluted, but the end result is always as shown.
Pullo and Vorenus are both interesting and likable, and it's a privilege to stay with them through this complex period of Rome's history. Turns out many modern problems are also Roman problems, it's truly fascinating to see how much of modern society and government is directly distilled from that system.
