Just Beyond

Just Beyond
⭐⭐⭐½ (out of 5) Just Beyond – Familiar frights from the master of mild scares.
“Just Beyond” is another R. L. Stine creation — the undisputed king of kids’ horror — and it wears that crown with pride. This anthology series serves up bite-sized supernatural stories that balance creepy with comfortable, giving young viewers (and nostalgic adults) just enough of a chill to keep things interesting without ever losing sleep.
Each episode stands on its own, and while it’s been a while since I last saw it, I remember the tone and pacing being solid — consistent enough that you could jump in anywhere and still enjoy the ride. It’s the kind of show that plays like Goosebumps’ cousin: different, but the same.
There’s a touch more polish and a bit less camp than Goosebumps, but the spirit is identical — mysterious happenings, moral lessons, and that signature Stine mix of just spooky enough.
If you liked Goosebumps, you’ll like Just Beyond. It’s a gentle return to that same haunted hallway of childhood scares — just a little older, a little slicker, and still perfectly safe for bedtime.
