- ADONIS00923. juni 2026A transgender superhero? Seriously?Instead of building strong characters and a story that can stand on its own, the show leans heavily on social messaging. It felt like nearly every main character was defined by a social issue or identity first, rather than by a compelling personality or arc. To me, it came across like the writers were trying to check every representation box instead of simply telling a great story. That’s the same criticism many people had of The Boys, and I think Gen V doubled down on it. When the message starts taking priority over the writing, the show suffers—and, in my opinion, that’s what led to its downfall. .🤦🏾♂️🙌🏽
- trrs25. maj 2026What really bugs me about this show is how it’s implemented into the boys universe and it needing to be watched if you want to understand a lot of what’s going on in the boys in between seasons. This show would have been much much better had it been able to stand on its own and actually not been canceled. If you watch to the end you’ll feel like this show is an empty husk and kinda pointless. I can’t even recommend not watching it since you probably should if you are watching the boys. It’s not a bad show just poor implemented.
