Hvor man kan se Babylon 5
- Richard18. oktober 2025Saw this one in the'90s Dutch TV. It was space opera with brains and it didn’t just tell stories, it built a universe. Set on a neutral space station in the mid-23rd century, Babylon 5 was a melting pot of politics, prophecy and interstellar drama. The arcs were long, the stakes were high and the characters actually changed. But here’s the kicker: the visual effects were made with Amigas. Yep, LightWave 3D running on Video Toaster turned Commodore’s humble machine into a sci-fi powerhouse. Those starships, hyperspace jumps and battle sequences? Rendered on the same kind of computer you used for Deluxe Paint and Shadow of the Beast. And the drama wasn’t just on screen. Straczynski pitched Babylon 5 to Paramount. They passed. Then came Deep Space Nine, another space station show with political intrigue and serialized arcs. Coincidence? Maybe. But it sure felt like Babylon 5 set the idea in motion, even if unofficially. It was serialized storytelling before that was cool. It tackled war, religion, identity and diplomacy, with aliens that weren’t just rubber masks, but full on philosophies.
- Razorgirl au17. juni 2025One of the greatest television shows ever made. It could be considered prophetic, if it weren't for the fact that all dictatorships use the same techniques. I first saw this when it was made, in the 90s. Watching this show with post-9/11 eyes, it hits differently. Watching it during the Trump Reich, it is, once again, a different show.
- Manigord018. september 2025the best tv show ever made, an epic scifi opera that attempts to make sense of the past, present, and future of mankind in an entertaining way, mainly drawing parallels from alienistic religious interpretations, every existential question is answered here, if you're willing to listen...
- GnomeSlice11. maj 2025An all-timer for me. Excellent character drama in a great sci-fi universe. Lots of political intrigue and epic plot lines. Not afraid to examine some tough topics!
- Arthas Menethil10. september 2025Great Sci-Fi series, one of the first TV shows to do series-wide Epic Story Arcs, and prompted Star Trek to be serialized storytelling (instead of standalone, episodic stories) and venture into a sweeping epic arc for DS9.
- Paul Schwartz24. juni 2025The absolute best sci-fi series, now we have some great runners-up, expanse and Firefly. Yet this is the gem, of The Crusade was a wreck but that's not Babylon 5

Rumstationen Babylon 5, universets sidste chance for fred. Ikke just betryggende.
