Hvor man kan se Alien: Earth
- A strong first season that takes the *Alien* franchise somewhere worthwhile. Instead of relying entirely on the Xenomorph, *Alien: Earth* explores a future divided between corporations, artificial humans and experiments that should never have left the laboratory. Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant and Babou Ceesay are excellent, the retro-futuristic production design is beautifully judged, and the new alien species are genuinely unsettling. Episode five is the standout, bringing back the atmosphere of Ridley Scott's original. The larger corporate society deserves more exploration, and Wendy's ability to control the Xenomorph makes me slightly nervous about where the story might go. Still, I'm very much interested in a second season.
- It was decent. The beginning is really good. And the ending is really good. But as a few other reviews have noted, they most squandered the best parts of the show with a very slow, boring middle section filled with a lot of wasted potential and drivel. Some of the episodes where genuinely a chore to get through. Overall I liked the show enough, it was just paced very badly. It also wasn't really horror, more just action scifi. I'd say for any huge Alien fans, it is worth it to watch. It has some pretty awesome moments, and fantastic cgi, and even some extreme cool practical effects. But to a general scifi fan kooking for their next hit, this may not be it.
- Excellent premise and amazing first episode, but then the idiots behind this chose to squander it all in favor of stupid characters making stupid decisions. Imagine a ramped-up version of the Aliens movie, where all of the main characters are superhuman, but the script is from an edgy version of High School Musical. One girl only realizes she's superhuman while she's killing the people that protect her. It's like the writers FORGOT that the whole point of the show was that DANGEROUS ALIENS ARE INVADING EARTH, so they wrote about tweens being pouty hypocrites.
- I'm a huge fan of the Alien franchise, so I really wanted to watch this show, but at the same time I was afraid it would not deliver. I'm glad to say that at least for me the show is good. The story and pacing are a bit uneven, but the casting, scenery and direction are all top notch. I was also reluctant when I realized the xenomorphs are not the only alien baddies here, but that is handled quite nicely. Towards the end of the first season the action goes into high gear and stays like that to the end. So, unmissable if you're a fan of the alien movies, and a "should definitely watch" if you're a scifi fan.
- 5 episodes in and it's been great. The synopsis for the show didn't intrigue me at all, but thankful the show is actually good. Had my doubts and they were squashed. The musical score and soundtrack is great, the acting is there and they are selling it fairly well. It's not jarring nor is the show all over the place. The horror/sci-fi is being done well and it all flows. Feels like a very long movie in parts and im all good with that. not much of a review since im not finished with it yet, but overall good stuff! Plus Timothy Olphant is in this, and that's always a plus.
- Excellent and Amazing show. Its visually great as actual sets can be seen and the show isn't all CGI garbage. Its paced correctly. Those not liking this show probably have the attention span of a 12 year old and need those fast pace Marvel crap. True Characters and Character Development already. Timothy Olyphant kills it as expected as a synth. Tackling awesome concepts with AI, and copying human consciousness then bringing in different types of Aliens to a distopian new age earth. The only thing I can't stand are these close up shots of Wendy's Mouth and her "speaking xenomorph sounds" ugh. Please stop this in Season2.
- *Alien: Earth* delivers a fresh and exciting boost to the *Alien* franchise, blending classic horror with modern ideas-from artificial intelligence and identity to corporate tyranny-within an intense visual narrative. With strong performances, cinematic flair, and philosophical dialogue, this series emerges as a thrilling television debut that's well worth watching for fans of both science fiction and horror.
- ## Synopsis After a ship full of the universe's most impressive predators lands on earth, a hybrid works to save her brother against both the monsters and the humans. ## Review Since [[2024 Episode 4 - Muther Knows Best Unpacking Aliens’ Influence on Sci-Fi and Horror]] and [[Alien Romulus]], I really understand the draw of the Alien has a terrifying beast. This show I thought was going to be more of that, but I think it is safe to say that it ultimately was disappointing. The actual characters are very interesting. The idea of moving the minds of children into these hybrid bodies is an interesting plot line that creates very dynamic and unique stories. It is the idea that they are children that make the adults act entitled and all knowing up until it blows up in their face. It also allows the "kids" to have some weird growth while still being children. Those interactions are both what make this show good, and terrible. The adults are the most annoying people in this show so full of ego and stupidity, even for the "Boy Genius." The monsters are very cool. I love how creepy they are and different. We've been looking at the Alien for years and haven't really gotten much new information about it, but now we are learning about the social aspect of it. It is a bit more than we used to know and at the same time, we see how little we actually know about them. The eye is probably one of coolest monsters in creation. They really knocked it out of the park with that creepy thing. The thing that really hurts this show is the pacing and the deus ex machina. Wendy is too powerful. She can do a lot, she is a brilliant tactician, can see everything, and in the end, she can't be stopped. Much like [[Secret Invasion]], there is no stopping her as there isn't anything she can't do. It really kills a show that could have set up another world. ## [My Rating] I have heard that this was designed to be a 2 season show. I can see that working, but they are going to have to keep the weirdness of the kids in check, so the story keeps moving forward. There is a part where one of the hybrids thinks that they are pregnant. I get that little girls might do that, but it took away from the fight against the aliens and the humans. Actions like this while showing super small pieces of information, drags the pacing of the show to a snails pace. I got so bored during the middle of the season that I just stopped caring. It very much felt like [[For All Mankind]] which I am still trying to finish the final season of. I can give this any more than a 6. ## [Parental Rating] There is a lot of gore, a lot of violence, and a lot of manipulation. Content alone means that my mom would never watch this. The language that "Boy Genius" uses is outrageously over the top and aggressive in so many ways, that it makes it very un-fun to watch. Rejected by both.
- Well folks, let me tell ya somethin’. I just watched this here Alien: Earth show and dang if it ain’t the best thing since duct tape and a cold beer on a hot day. They got critters crawlin’ outta places you don’t wanna know about, corporations bein’ greedier than your uncle at the buffet, and more tension than a family reunion with free liquor. The thing looks sharp too. Like Hollywood spent every penny makin’ sure I’d never sleep with the lights off again. And the actors? They don’t just act, they sell it. I believe every scream, every shadow, every poor sap who don’t make it past episode one. If you like your sci-fi with a side of terror and a big ol’ plate of “humans are the real problem,” this is your meal ticket. Five stars. Earth, watch this dang show.
- Finally! Alien: Earth finally takes us into the deep world of the Xenomorphs, but also other curious beings that would gladly eat your organs or replace them. While the "drama" aspect of this leaves so much to be desired (and quite frankly, is meaningless babble), the titanic clash between Prodigy and Weyland-Yutani takes second stage next to the unnerving experiments that are conducted. The series delves into the weird and mutated universe of Alien and we finally get to see something harrowing - not that the Xenomorphs' escapades weren't already terrifying enough.
- Ok. Let me weigh in. First of all to the naysayers of this series, I would say you are wrong. Without a shadow of a doubt. The storyline remains true to the original movies. It isn’t watered down. Yes, we are dealing with android youths that are new , but I must admit that they are formidable. The writing is impeccable and the CGI is beyond acceptable. I am 60 years old and I have watched all of the alien movies. I am thoroughly enjoying this series.
- Alien Earth is quite literally bringing the franchise home. Having been personally disaapointed with some of the latter movies I kept my expectations low for this but it has far surpassed what I thought it was going to be. It has taken the blueprint of the originals and expanded into its own - so many new original concepts to feast on, no cheesy lip service..a true love letter. The set designs are outstanding (Maginot we see you!) And the character acting is brilliant - I'm invested in how they progress with the hands that they are dealt. I've read alot of reviews saying the story lines are falling flat- completely disagree, I find the story intelligent with emotional depth- the themes not of only an Alien threat but politics of earth, humanity and philosophy without prattling on.I find the show truly fascinating which is what hooked me to the first two movies. They have successfully expanded the universe into a TV show so this allows for much more story telling and world building - and not a minute has been wasted on filler - the show successfully builds on tense expectation, action and visual effects which I appreciate.I'm so excited to see where this goes and would urge any fan to give it a watch if you aren't already!
