Radio DJs spoke of 'the terror of nothingness' in 1988, but ecstasy took over in the clubs in Amsterdam and Rotterdam in no time: the house explosion was a fact. No one could have imagined that this new music movement would eventually even grow into one of the Netherlands' largest exports.
