My quick rating - 5.6/10. Still remains relevant, and I never reviewed it before. The same thoughts linger; if you want to buy into this movie, you have to take a lot of it with a grain of salt. I have no idea how, in the disarray the government is in, that somehow everyone in 2044 has been genetically altered? Certain big ideas, such as those that are interjected in this flick, just not explained. But still remains a cult-like flick that looks into the failing education system, among other dystopian issues that have been overlooked in the grand scheme. Still, a good watch that those conspiracy junkies think is the best thing filmed, ever, and compare it to far better movies, which it doesn't come close to. So don't expect 12 Monkeys or Donnie Darko which this movie wishes it could've been, but take it as a stand-alone vision that was made on a fraction of the budget. Definitely has its merits and makes you think about what you see in the world around us, even now, it doesn't appear much has changed. Possibly just got worse. Oh, and I thought Peter Scanavino from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit did a really good job here.
