It's the 1980s, and young Beni is on holiday with her mother and sister Gilla on the shores of Lake Balaton. Beni finds an old camera and starts obsessively taking pictures with it. While on the beach, Gilla unexpectedly disappears in the water. The girl is nowhere to be found, but Beni keeps looking for her and together with the local detective they try to find Gilla. A girl disappeared in the same place 10 years earlier under similar circumstances, so after bringing up the films, they both feel the answer lies beyond rationality.
