Vi er i en nær fremtid. En dag bliver Grey Trace og hans kone overfaldet. Hun bliver dræbt og han bliver krøbling. Kort tid efter får han dog et tilbud han ikke kan afslå. Han kan få opgraderet sin krop takket være moderne teknologi og kunstig intelligens, så han kan gå igen og leve et normalt liv. Grey gennemgår proceduren og kommer på benene igen, men snart viser det sig, at der er en bagside af medaljen.

- O13. april 2026Wow, this movie was completely unexpected. A gem that was overlooked. Probably one of my Top 10 sci-fi films now. Many audible gasps, plenty of blood, but he ending was good and left me wanting MORE. Recommended to friends and they agreed. A shame they couldnt give us on more. Actors did their part, i was fully invested the entire time.

The vfx never seem to poke through the veil here. So this one is a winner! Kinda shitty story since I don't get the complete, and full history of this future universe and it's general dystopia. I feel neglected... But still a really, really neat movie to wartch! If you are into movies... This is definitely, A MOVIE!

- M08Y17. juli 2025Upgrade is a solid action sci-fi movie that never overstays its welcome. The premise is simple and the execution surprisingly good. The action is snappy really well put together. This is brought home by a streamlined plot and servicable performances all round. Talent really shines through on movies with such a small budget ($3 Million according to a quick google). Every single penny is on display here, the visuals are all present and correct (even if rather boring) and there is absolutely no garish CGI on display. The fight scenes have a robotic fluidity to them that you rarely see. The 4K bluray is a slight *upgrade* over the 1080p but the film lacks the cinematography to really take advantage of the format. The audio is fine.
