- OdinTheRavenKing2 dage siden## Synopsis A Death Dealer finds herself defying the orders of her vampire coven to save a human from the Lycans that were hunting him for a mysterious purpose. ## Review Classic early 2000s goth fantasy right here. Guns and swords, corsets, color contacts, and Michael Sheen. It is basically an adult version of [[Twilight]] to include the running. While watching this, there is a scene where Sheen is running after a car. They have him running on a tread going superfast basically not touching the ground, which is the same way they did the Twilight running and they are just funny. I am a strong hater for older movies where no one reloads. This is another one, but it is a bit different since there is no scene where someone spends 30 seconds pulling the trigger forever. There for sure are some scenes where there were more bullets than the weapon could hold, but it isn't the same level as things like [[Lethal Weapon]] or [[Heat]] (Which I haven't watched in years). However, most of the firefights and continuous shooting comes off-screen from just sounds and the on-screen items are clipped so you don't see that. Part of that I think is because the shots are all CGI for the most part, so it cuts on cost, but it also could be that they look goofy just squatting in the open to shoot people. The story isn't bad. The vampire vs. werewolf is a classic enemies' series. You have two classes of immortals just going at each other, but have learned to hide from the real world. If there really was an Illuminati in my mind, it would be something like this. I like the idea of genetics playing a part in how and if someone can turn into werewolf or vampire. It isn't explicitly said that way, but there is a mention that "Most people don't survive a bite." With the conversation about looking for the right person, my head cannon is that genetics plays a part, but they, the death dealers, just don't realize it. ## [My Rating](epicscreentime com This movie is a bit of history for me. Very fun, action packed, and some cool post matrix visuals. It could be better, but it could have been a LOT worse. As we see from later movies in this series and other vampire movies. The pacing on this isn't the greatest. So many parts of this seem slow, but they do have a purpose to tell an extremely rich and deep story. There is a lot of story there that has to be told to explain so much. I really enjoy this movie and I think that it should be a 7, but it is nostalgic, and I am giving it an 8. ## [Parental Rating](epicscreentime com There is an incredible amount of blood, I mean this is an R rated Vampire movie so that is the expectation. There is also a sex scene that will make my Mom immediately rejected this movie. There is also a decent amount of language that will also drive my Dad away. I need to say, that when this came out in 2003, my dad did watch it on the train, but he would not watch it anymore. Rejected by both.

The lore of the vampire–lycan conflict is compelling, but underdeveloped, with character motivations and backstory often sacrificed for spectacle. While the film succeeds as a visually impressive action piece, it misses the opportunity to deepen its world-building. Still, Underworld remains a stylish entry in the genre, memorable for its atmosphere and kinetic energy.
