Triangle is a tight, atmospheric psychological thriller built around guilt, repetition, and a brutal time loop. It’s clever, tense, and surprisingly rewatchable. And yes — Jess’s sandals have more plot armor than any human on that ship

I had never even heard of Triangle before stumbling across it, and it ended up being one of the better surprises I've had in a while. Christopher Smith takes what begins as a fairly familiar setup and gradually turns it into something much more intricate, trusting the audience to connect the pieces instead of explaining everything outright. Melissa George gives the story the emotional anchor it needs, and the supporting cast does enough to keep even the film's strangest developments feeling believable. Even when I wasn't entirely sure where everything was leading, I never stopped wanting to see how it all fit together. There were a few moments where I thought the film had finally reached its ending, only for another twist to completely change the picture again. By the end, I couldn't honestly say I understood every piece of what I'd just watched. Oddly enough, that never frustrated me. The mystery always felt intentional, and I came away with the sense that Christopher Smith knew exactly what he was doing even when I wasn't able to keep up. I ended up thinking far more about the puzzle the film presents than the horror itself, and I suspect that's exactly what Smith was aiming for. It made me want to watch the film again, and that's about the highest compliment I can give a mystery like this.

Amazing psychological thriller. really had my brain going through a loop. only reason it’s not 5 star is there were a couple plot holes i found to be too noticeable and still can’t wrap my head around. genuinely a great movie and worth the watch!

Yeah, this is my sh🤩 right here. Would have been even better if the scares and/or gore had been amped up a little more.  If altered reality horror is your thing too, this is definitely worth checking out.

I enjoyed Triangle a lot more after thinking about it as a concept versus when actually watching it. The actual plot beats played out just as I expected, with none of the reveals being shocking. Maybe I've just consumed enough stories that utilize these tropes, but it all felt very predictable to me. The movie, instead, tries to build up to these twists in a way that makes a lot of it feel boring as you wait for the shoe to drop. The concept also just lends itself to being slightly repetitive. It doesn't help that every single character outside of the main character Jess is as superficial as it gets. We might get a detail or two about them, but they may as well be nameless cardboard cutouts. The acting is similarly wooden. It's almost worse that the movie tries to setup some backstory since it never actually returns to it for any of the characters. However, as the movie starts to head to its conclusion, the denoument did actually surprise me. At the end of the movie, I finally understood what they were trying to do. And honestly? It's really clever. The ending recontextualizes a lot of what I saw before, and I think the way it ties into both the details as well as the plot and structure of the movie is very impressive. It adds a lot to the themes and character. I wish the actual movie was more entertaining because it really is such a solid concept. I think there was so much potential for this movie. It nails some of the hardest parts while missing the most basic elements, ultimately making it more interesting as an idea than an actual movie.

A true classic. Prepare to have your mind trigger the "tilt" light. I don't think there's anything else like this and I highly reccommend. Melissa George is great, the ship is creepy and everything just works so well. Enjoy.

Starts out as a slow burn but once you get to the twist, everything picks up nicely. The main actor does a terrific job as her character navigates such a strange situtaion.

Entertaining and a little quirky, in a good way.

A movie that seems painfully rolling into being yet another Hollywood Trope machine, spitting out pieces of tired old “Movie Magic” - this time in the guise of a teen horror flick, that slowly hooks you, engages you in a way that you never expect and then stuns you as the pieces all start to fall together. I silently watched this film thinking I was minutes away from being sorely disappointed, and then be angry at myself for believing anything could pull the wool over my eyes - but I watched in excited disbelief as the strange twist after twist develop in front if my eyes. I have seen it all before and have long since grown tired of being duped. But I was happily surprised. It’s a story as old as Greek Mythology, but done in a modern way. A frightening parable about second chances, and endless curses whose destiny we cannot avoid. A real “must see”.
