The Green Hornet-bedømmelser og anmeldelser
- Manuel Frangis17. marts 2025I just watched The Green Hornet, and it is an easy 5 out of 5 stars for me. This movie is an underrated action comedy that delivers everything you could want from a superhero film that does not take itself too seriously. It is packed with action, humor, and fun characters that make it an entertaining ride from start to finish. Seth Rogen plays Britt Reid, a spoiled and aimless guy who unexpectedly becomes a crime fighter. He brings his usual comedic energy to the role, making the character feel different from the typical serious superhero. He is not a genius, he is not a highly trained fighter, and he is definitely not prepared for what he gets himself into, but that is exactly what makes his journey fun to watch. His personality and overconfidence add to the comedy, making him a unique and entertaining lead. Jay Chou plays Kato, and he completely steals the show. His character is the real hero of the story, handling the fighting, the gadgets, and basically everything Britt Reid is supposed to be doing. His action scenes are some of the best in the movie, and his chemistry with Rogen makes for some of the funniest moments. The way their friendship develops is one of the best parts of the film, mixing humor with great teamwork. The action in The Green Hornet is top notch. The fight scenes are well choreographed, and Kato’s abilities are shown in a way that makes him feel almost superhuman. The slow motion and stylized effects make every fight look cool while keeping things fun and fast paced. The car chases are also a highlight, with the Black Beauty stealing every scene it is in. The gadgets, weapons, and action sequences make it clear that this is a superhero movie that wants to have fun rather than be overly serious. The villain, played by Christoph Waltz, is another fun part of the movie. He is both menacing and hilarious, bringing a mix of intimidation and insecurity that makes him stand out. His obsession with being taken seriously as a crime lord adds to the humor, and he plays the role in a way that fits perfectly with the tone of the film. The humor is a big part of why The Green Hornet works so well. It does not try to be a dark and serious superhero movie. Instead, it embraces the ridiculousness of its premise and plays into the comedy. The banter between Britt and Kato is hilarious, and the way they handle being crime fighters feels fresh compared to other movies in the genre. The film is self aware, making fun of superhero clichés while still delivering great action. The pacing is solid, keeping things moving without dragging in any spots. There is always something happening, whether it is an action scene, a comedic exchange, or a moment that develops the characters. The balance between action and comedy is handled well, making sure that neither element overshadows the other. The visuals and style of the movie make it stand out. The action sequences have a unique look, and the way Kato’s abilities are shown adds a fun, comic book inspired touch. The Black Beauty is one of the coolest cars in any superhero movie, and every time it is on screen, it adds something exciting to the scene. This is one of those movies that is just fun to watch. It does not try to be overly serious or emotional. It just delivers a great mix of action and comedy that keeps you entertained the whole way through. Definitely one of my favorites, and one I will keep coming back to.
- Toronto1228. juli 2025I love this movie. So much fun! They should have made another one.
- Vitor Lameirão Alves28. december 2025Michel Gondry’s inventive visual style is almost entirely absent, overshadowed by Seth Rogen’s broad comedy. Christoph Waltz delivers a delightfully insecure villain, but talent is squandered on a generic blockbuster script. Think Judd Apatow’s humor meets a 1960s radio hero with none of the visual inventiveness. A project of unfulfilled potential.
- A-Bag10. november 2025This movie has it all! An unfortunate hero, a silly villain, an unbelievable love interest and a plot lacking substance. The special effects… pure garbage. The dialogue… like a shit stain on Websters dictionary. The only saving grace (and why it got the 1/2 star) is that James Franco gets whacked in the first 10 minutes.
- ርልዪረ5. august 2025ands down one on my favourite movies of all time! this movie has everything from comedy, fight scenes, drama, and Seth Rogan. Strays far away from the hit 60s show but IT DOESN'T MATTER. This movie is its own thing in so many good ways. Don't get me wrong, it's got the same style and car, just the overall feel is a new spin on the hornet. I watched it going in with no knowledge of the cast or the character himself, and it was fantastic.
- Miisamm26. oktober 2025A lot better than most people make you believe, the stunts and film techniques are unbelievably good. Yes, Seth is annoying, and the Green Hornet is an incapable Douchebag. But ignore the older depictions of this character, and it will work. Also Christoph Waltz is amazing as chudnofski.
- Richard12. oktober 2025This remake is a wild cocktail of camp, chaos and charisma. It doesn’t try to honor the original with reverence, it crashes through it with a smirk and a flamethrower. Seth Rogen’s Britt Reid is more frat boy than fearless vigilante and that’s kind of the point. He’s not a hero, he’s a rich kid playing dress up and somehow that works. Jay Chou as Kato? Absolute scene stealer. He’s the brains, the brawn and the style behind the operation. Every fight scene with him feels like a comic book panel come to life, stylized, kinetic and just plain cool. The Black Beauty deserves its own spin-off. That car is a beast. This isn’t a superhero film that wants to be taken seriously. It’s self-aware, messy and often ridiculous, but it’s also fun. Think Kick Ass meets Pineapple Express, with a dash of 1960s nostalgia and a whole lot of explosions. If you’re looking for a faithful homage to the original, this isn’t it and you might want to skip it. But if you’re up for a chaotic buddy comedy in a superhero wrapper, it’s a blast.
- Eric8. maj 2025How could they do Bruce Lee dirty like this? Seth Rogen might as well just shot Bruce himself if he wanted to ruin his legacy. Jay Chou was alright but i couldn’t see him as anyone else except takumi from that terrible live action initial D movie so…..
