I don't get the hate. I loved it. Especially the banter between the guitarists which I can very much relate to!

Good for a sequel . No one under 35 will enjoy it. Everyone over 45 will enjoy it.

RIP Rob Reiner. Not the best in the Spinal Tap saga, but it's nice to see what happened to the band. Spinal Tap rules!

One could argue this movie didnt need to be made but I found myself enjoying it. If you grew up with the first movie you won't be dissapointed.

Comedy sequels once again DO NOT WORK. Its great to see Paul McCartney and Elton John in small roles but its mostly lifeless. Jokes are few and far. They all need to go back to BITCH SCHOOL.

I hate to say it, as much as I love the original, but this movie bored me. The few things that mildly chuckle worthy felt like retreads from 1984’s far superior film. The songs were not good…well, the new ones anyway. Harry Shearer had very little to do in the movie. It was mostly focused on Michael McKean and Christopher Guest. I thought the concept was good enough and the storyline with the drummer could have been interesting. Instead everything felt dull and lifeless, much like director Rob Reiner’s career for the last 20 years. I feel bad just ragging on the movie. There were a few moments here and there where it looked like it could come close to its former glory, but then nothing much happens with the joke. There’s no “lick my love pump” or “these go to 11” moments but some of the dialogue has some lightly funny bits. It’s sad. I really wanted to like this movie. I hoped for a return to greatness for Reiner. I wanted to see a great sequel from three comedic actors I’ve loved since my childhood. I wanted something that felt real and funny like the first movie. Although it felt real, like a band you remember fondly and you’d watch a doc about their return, it didn’t feel funny. The real and the funny were so perfectly blended in the first with them not finding the stage (really happened to a band) or so many other moments. This one felt like Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster where you’re watching Spinal Tap go through therapy. I wish I felt different.

Not as funny as the original and some jokes fall flat on their face but it still had me chuckling often enough to be entertaining. Some fun cameos and a delight to hang out with the band again after all these years.

40 years too late to be really any good. It's nowhere near as funny or as good as the original.

I enjoyed it more than I thought. Good to see some familiar faces and new ones in the cast. Good trip down memory lane.

If you don't like this I'm afraid you don't like peak comedy. Rest in peace Rob <3

    Absolutely hilarious 😆

Ooof. Probably should have left a classic alone. Fun cameos.

Pretty lame. It tried unsuccessfully to carry over the original humour but does not hit the mark.

While accepting that nothing will replace or surpass the original, I thought this was an excellent continuation. The cameos are excellent and do not feel forced or cringy. Looking forward to "the Final Finale"!!
