Beyond this, nothing about this story is even remotely interesting because of how recycled it all feels. I even hesitate calling this a kid’s movie because it could possibly derail the cognitive skills they’ve been developing. The script is lazy, the performances are bland, and the songs are so ridiculously shoehorned... Think Emoji Movie mixed with Trolls. I think it’s time to move on from trying to make this work.
