- James Saenz1 dag siden“do not mistake my kindness for weakness.” an absolute banger; i haven’t had a theater crowd laughing this hard along with the movie since the monkey early last year. rami is an absolute god and knows just how to toe the line between horror and comedy in a way that never makes them feel asynchronous and always fully delivers on both fronts. he really tried to make rachel mcadams look chopped at the beginning of the film but that didn’t work she’s too divine. every choice she makes, every minute facial expression, is an absolute delight. dylan o’brien is also doing incredible work here, though if this were at the beginning of raimi’s career i have no doubt in my mind he would’ve made o’brien eat an actual water bug instead of dubai chocolate. p.s. where the hell was the bruce campbell cameo? i know there had to be one but i think i just missed it.

- Mike Shulman5. februar 2026Sam Raimi is back with Send Help to remind us all why he is the all time MVP of dark disgusting twisted f@cked up horror. This movie was nearly perfect. Rachel McAdams is amazing as the submissive nerdy "so we think" employee and Dylan O'Brien as well as the douchebag CEO who inherited everything from daddy and never worked a day in his life. Inevitably after not promoting her the two are the only survivors of a work related plane crash and wash up on a small island in the middle of the ocean. From here Linda who spends her spare time reading survivalist books and auditioning for... You guessed it Survivor is now in her element. She's now the boss and goes out of her way to demonstrate this to Bradley... Multiple times showing him why he needs her... But she's also got a more sinister motivation... As does he... One thing is clear... Both Linda and Bradley are flawed people. Welcome to a Sam Raimi movie.... We're not getting clear cut good vs evil characters. And as you can guess in true Raimi fashion the last hour gets really f@cked up... We get some trademark Evil Dead throwback action. Ultra violence, bodily fluids, laugh out loud moments and WTF moments. And you won't know what's what until the very end. The amount of satisfaction you get from the ending might depend on how depraved your mind is. That's why for me it's awesome. Send Help 9/10

- Jovon Villarasa5 dage sidenSurprisingly enjoyed this. I was expecting straight up horror with mindless killing on a remote island, but it ended up having a nice twist. I love when a movie makes me root for someone while constantly switching sides.
