- Mike Shulman5. februar 2026Sam Raimi is back with Send Help to remind us all why he is the all time MVP of dark disgusting twisted f@cked up horror. This movie was nearly perfect. Rachel McAdams is amazing as the submissive nerdy "so we think" employee and Dylan O'Brien as well as the douchebag CEO who inherited everything from daddy and never worked a day in his life. Inevitably after not promoting her the two are the only survivors of a work related plane crash and wash up on a small island in the middle of the ocean. From here Linda who spends her spare time reading survivalist books and auditioning for... You guessed it Survivor is now in her element. She's now the boss and goes out of her way to demonstrate this to Bradley... Multiple times showing him why he needs her... But she's also got a more sinister motivation... As does he... One thing is clear... Both Linda and Bradley are flawed people. Welcome to a Sam Raimi movie.... We're not getting clear cut good vs evil characters. And as you can guess in true Raimi fashion the last hour gets really f@cked up... We get some trademark Evil Dead throwback action. Ultra violence, bodily fluids, laugh out loud moments and WTF moments. And you won't know what's what until the very end. The amount of satisfaction you get from the ending might depend on how depraved your mind is. That's why for me it's awesome. Send Help 9/10
- Richie H2 dage sidenWhat. The. Fuck. This movie was unhinged in the best way possible 12/10, definitely recommend
- William Allan3 dage sidenA lot better than I thought it might be, absolutely worth a watch. Although I truly wish they'd called it "Send Hepl" instead ;)
- Kevin Ward5. marts 2026F😍kin loved this. The opening scenes depicting McAdams in corporate office setting might have triggered the fight or flight response in my wife more than the actual horrors on the deserted island did. So much of it rang really true. McAdams was incredible and gets to show off quite a bit of range here. Dylan O’Brien is excellently douche-y with a creepy laugh that will make you want to gag anytime you hear it. Sure, it’s a re-hash of a lot of elements seen before (particularly in that third act of The Triangle of Sadness), but damn, Sam Raimi inject it with sooo much fun that makes this romp wildly satisfying. Blood, gore, and also one jump scare that literally had the entire packed audience screaming at times. (The jump scare legit scared the sh🤩 out of my wife). A tad predictable but still so much fun. Highly recommend.
- tom_wen19. februar 2026Overall, very enjoyable though the ending seemed a little rushed and cobbled together at the last-minute.
- Carl4 dage sidenDefinitely wasn’t expecting this and I’m saying that in a good way!! Also Dylan & those cheeks 😍😂
- Spoons1 dag sidenSend Help tries to channel Sam Raimi’s chaotic charm but ends up feeling like a stitched-together survival flick with occasional splashes of goo. A few fun moments, but mostly a missed opportunity with a painfully weak script.
- Mars Swiodorn17 timer sidenMcAdams is fantastic, showed phenomenal range, a nuanced and expressive performance. The directing and shots were visually very good. I would just say there were some daft moments that seemed a bit implausible and a few elements of the script that were a touch contrived and obvious, which means i will give it a 7.9/10. Its a good watch, and immersive. Worth watching for McAdams performance that i wouldn't be surprised if was nominated for an Oscar it was truly that good. The film itself won't be winning the best movie Oscar though.
- cat_pack1 dag sidenThis was so good! It's what happens when an employee is pushed to the limits by a bad boss. Even after being stranded and on the verge of death the boss doesn't change. The dutiful/meek Linda surely does a 180 though! It's gory and entertaining at the same time.
- ርልዪረ5 dage siden🆘Send Help quickly establishes itself as one of the most compelling and engaging films of the year, especially for viewers who were already intrigued by its intense and mysterious trailer. From the opening moments, the film pulls you into its twisted emotional landscape, blending suspense, dark humor, and psychological tension. It's the kind of movie that demands your attention and rewards you for staying locked in, creating a theatrical experience that feels both immersive and unpredictable. Dylan O'Brien delivers one of his most striking performances to date, stepping far outside his usual heroic or sympathetic roles. Here, he plays a deeply flawed, abrasive, and often infuriating character, and he commits to it fully. His portrayal makes you uncomfortable in the best way, forcing the audience to confront how selfishness, manipulation, and emotional damage ripple outward. Watching O'Brien lean into this darker, more morally questionable role is both surprising and impressive, proving his range as an actor. Rachel McAdams is the true powerhouse of the film. Her performance is fearless, layered, and wildly dynamic. She shifts seamlessly between vulnerability, humor, instability, charm, and outright madness, often within the same scene. McAdams commands the screen every time she appears, reminding audiences why she remains one of the most versatile actresses working today. Her character is messy, unpredictable, and deeply human, making her journey both disturbing and fascinating to watch. The screenplay is energetic and inventive, blending character-driven drama with moments of sharp intensity. While the story is consistently engaging, it does take a bit too long to reach its emotional breaking point. The buildup to Rachel McAdams' character's major shift is stretched slightly thin, which may test some viewers' patience. However, once that turning point arrives, the film erupts into a powerful and relentless second half that more than makes up for the slow burn. Director Sam Raimi brings his signature style to the project, balancing psychological tension with visual flair and emotional weight. His direction keeps the pacing tight, the atmosphere uneasy, and the performances grounded. Raimi knows when to let scenes breathe and when to unleash chaos, resulting in a film that feels carefully constructed rather than chaotic. His ability to blend intensity with character development is one of the movie's strongest assets. Overall, Send Help stands out as one of the most memorable theatrical releases of the year. With outstanding performances from Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McAdams, a bold screenplay, and confident direction from Sam Raimi, the film delivers a gripping and emotionally charged experience. It's intense, unsettling, and deeply engaging from start to finish. This is not a movie to wait for streaming. It deserves to be seen on the big screen, where its full impact can truly be felt.
- WiseGuySaidSo19 timer sidenTotal chaos at its finest! Rachel McAdams shines in this survival themed dark comedy-horror film from the great Sam Raim.
- pah55323 timer sidenA solid thriller that mashes the isolation of Castaway with the domestic dread of Misery, even if it doesn't quite reach the heights. Dylan O’Brien is perfectly punchable as the corporate-bro boss, while Rachel McAdams delivers a chilling performance channelling her best Cathy Bates, making their toxic dynamic the film's strongest asset. However, it lacks the over-the-top madness of an Evil Dead to make it a horror standout.
- Robert22. februar 2026I went into the movie theater not knowing what to expect. I didn't know who was supposed to be the villain and who was supposed to be the protagonist. I left the theater very much the same way. It was an interesting ride and i would probably sit down to watch it again. Literally everything you know Sam Raimi for is present in this film.
- eyeofthetornado1. februar 2026Send Help is basically Misery if you removed the snow, added relentless sunburn, and replaced “number one fan” energy with “I’m dehydrated and morally deteriorating.” Two people get stranded, pain escalates, power shifts, and suddenly the victim is taking notes like, ohhh, so this is how abusing works. Survival turns into a workshop on control, ethics melt faster than skin, and the jokes land right when you wish they wouldn’t. By the end, you’re not asking “who’s good or bad?” you’re asking “who learned the lesson a little too well?” Dark, crispy, and uncomfortably funny.
