A chilling horror anthology comprising five short stories, penned by an unlikely group of aspiring writers, in Sugarton - a small town plagued by the apparent return of an infamous serial killer, dubbed "Cutthroat." They've come to share their scary stories (with each other and the bookstore owner, Peter, who leads the group), but soon discover they've become the stars of a sick killer's own twisted tale.

My quick rating - 3.7/10. Another anthology flick that kind of forgot to actually scare anyone. Each story is told by a member of a book group that gets together weekly to share. That tidbit comes in mighty handy to completely blowing their big "twist" of the tie together out of the realm of possibility and just shows some seriously lazy writing. I won't go into it, but even though the "twist" is so painfully obvious right from the beginning, I don't want to further spoil it by pointing out this stupidity as well. Let's just say the beginning is prefaced with reports of an escaped killer named Cutthroat being on the loose. Figure out the rest. So none of the stories really stick out, minus one that was interesting with nearly no story. Just weird imagery. The main focus tends to be on monsters here, and none of those stories are remotely disturbing. There are some decent anthologies floating around right now (The Mortuary Collection comes to mind), so I wouldn't waste much effort digging this one up.
