    A romería is a Spanish religious pilgrimage or procession that typically travels to a chapel or shrine of a saint or the Virgin Mary. It is a festive, often annual, event combining religious devotion with lively street celebrations featuring traditional costumes, music, dancing, and food, common in Spain and Latin America. This is the allegorical pilgrimage of a young woman, to be accepted by one side of the family and be legally recognised after both her parents died from AIDS, she is also infected. Understandably the family do not want to acknowledge the drug addiction and the name of the cause of her parents death but in the end they come to accept the facts in a legal form. A well told story, about memory, love, and self forgiveness, no excuses are made for her parents, no pity is given to the tragic daughter, just life enforcing its capriciousness.
